Dear Visitor,
In the high school of my day, we were warned never to use the words “I” or “me” in our compositions. Ignoring that curious rule, I publish here in a personal key some reflections, poetry and essays about matters that matter to me – friends, philosophers, Proust and others. At the time that I needed to invent an email address, I happened to be immersed in Proust. Really more consumed than immersed. Proust mattered more to me than any other writer, more than any other activity. Thus the name “proustmatters” – in the sense of what matters to me – arose and stuck. It became my cybername. Since then, that Proust obsession has relaxed as more friends, heroes and teachers have come into my life.
Here is a personal magazine with some matters that matter to me; I invite you to read as I would invite you for coffee into my living room. I hope your visit is enjoyable. Please come again soon.

A treasure trove of stories and photos. Can’t wait for more.
“the frisson of a bookie vs the frisson of Kindle are not in the same league” I LOVE this phrase. It is so Sharon-esque and makes me smile.
Looking forward to reading your
words/perspectives!
Thank you for taking the time to put this together for those of us who love Proust it is nice to have a place to go to immerse oneself in all things Proustian.
